HIT/EHR loans available for eligible borrowers

Healthcare Information Technology / Electronic Health Records, Acquisition and Training Associated with Implementation

(Attractive Rates - Flexible Terms & Conditions)

With the Federal Government now promising to provide subsidies through both Medicare and Medicaid reimbursement for EHR implementation starting in 2011, if you have not already started planning for EHR implementation, you may want to start your planning process now. Planning now for EHR implementation may allow you to maximize reimbursement for your practice’s implementation. The Center for Rural Health Development, Inc., (Center) has developed an initiative to support private practice physicians in meeting the financial demands for EHR implementation. Through the Center’s Loan Fund, financing is available to fund hardware and software acquisition as well as the training necessary in the implementation of your practice’s EHR system.

The Center’s non-profit mission is to strengthen health care infrastructure in rural West Virginia. Our mission led us to develop the Loan Fund which has been making loans to West Virginia’s healthcare providers, including physicians since 2001 resulting in over $28 million, to date, in health care related projects including HIT/EHR acquisition.

Eligible Borrowers

Eligible Borrowers include pharmacists and other health care providers licensed and operating businesses in West Virginia with the exception of businesses located within the city limits of Charleston, Huntington, Wheeling, Parkersburg and Morgantown.
