West Virginia Adolescent & Adult Immunization Projects

Requests for Applications and grant application information is now available for the Adolescent and Adult Immunization Projects.

The West Virginia Adolescent and Adult Immunization Projects: Take Your Best Shot were developed to address the problem associated with low vaccination rates throughout West Virginia. Projects have been implemented in pilot counties across the state. Lessons learned during the pilot project are being used to develop effective strategies for statewide implementation.  It is envisioned that TYBS will be strategically implemented statewide through development of local immunization collaboratives led by designated lead agencies in each county/region throughout the state.

Key Components

  • Evaluation mechanisms
  • Quarterly training sessions
  • Development of immunization-specific toolkits
  • Community-based lead agency structure
